Drug Information Handbook 1997-98 (5th Edition)
Published in Paperback by Lexi Comp (August, 1997)
Average review score:

Excellent book for medical transcriptionistsI can't recommend this drug book highly enough. While having all the nice features of lab values, chemotherapy protocols, vaccinations, skin testing, etc., it also has a bonus feature of listing Canadian and Mexican drug names. This is a very resourceful book for both new and experienced MTs.

Drug Information Handbook: Pocket, 2002-2003
Published in Paperback by Lexi Comp (July, 2002)
Average review score:

ExcellentThis book is my bible. It was helpful while going through pharmacy courses, but in clinical clerkships, it was my saviour. Quick information on side effects, pharmacokinetic data and comparisons between classes of drugs are right at your fingertips! Its small enough to carry around (though it won't fit in your pocket - even if you wear a lab coat) and a great way to look smart when someone asks you a question you don't know!

East of Gettysburg: Custer Vs Stuart
Published in Paperback by Old Army Press (December, 1985)
Average review score:

outstanding bit of researchMr. Riggs does an excellent job of putting the battle of Gettysburg in its proper light. The battle was won on the East Cavalry Field by Custer. Had he not held off Stuart, with Fitzhugh Lee and Wade Hamptons cavalry, Pickett's charge would have broken through the Union defenses and the South could have won the war. It was Custer that stopped the Confederate forces from coming behind the northern troops and causing a panic as Pickett's men were charging.

El Cuento
Published in Paperback by International Thomson Publishing (January, 1984)
Average review score:

Contandoles sobre El CuentoHello! I am a Spanish Major at the University of California at Santa Barbara and El Cuento by John A. Crow and Edward Dudley was required for an advanced grammar course. I found the content very useful as it not only introduces the reader to prevalent authors and themes in Spanish literature, but familiarizes the reader with how to read the literature and what to look for.

Encyclopedia of Film Themes, Settings and Series

Every Library Needs This Book In Its CollectionI am a Library Media Specialist in an elementary/middle school. I bought this book for my Library. The students love it! It has an easy to read table of contents, and the students say they love to look up their favorite movies. Any book that can motivate a child to read is well worth having in the Library. I also have two other books written by the same authors: The Movie List Book and its second edition. These authors really know the movies.

Field Guide to Stains: How to Identify and Remove Virtually Every Stain Known to Man
Published in Paperback by Quirk Books (September, 2002)
Average review score:

STAIN BUSTER!I have not been this pleased with a book purchase in a long time! I read a piece in The New York Times that sparked my interest and purchased Field Guide to Stains. And let me say, that the stain removal techinques I've tried really work! What's more it's an interesting read and the close-up photos of the stains are not only hilarious, but very useful for identification. This book will get a lot of use around my house.

Fire-us #3: The Kiln
Published in Hardcover by Eos (25 March, 2003)
Average review score:

The KilnThis book was an excellent end to the Fire-us trilogy. If you want to read good fiction, read this series.
I read some parts in this book over and over again, and I still feel like I have to read it all over again because I missed so much (I'm a careful reader, so I couldn't miss that much). Still, if you want good science fiction, read this book!!!

Published in Hardcover by New City Press (August, 2002)
Average review score:

The set of books to read about the SaintThis first volume of a projected 3 volume edition of documents pertaining to the life and order of Saint Francis will easily become the source for all followers of Christ through the inspiration of this timeless saint. It provides the best translations and most recent scholarship on the life and times of the saint. In many way St. Francis is the most universal and beloved of Chirstian saints. Often called to second Christ as his life exemplifies the ideals of Christian service. Highly recommended.
